600% field upkeep

Postby pberci » Thu Jun 09, 2016 6:01 am

After harvesting cotton, I notitced, that one of my fields upkeep value went from 50% to 600%, instead of 55%. I used the very same seeds and fertilizers on the field next to it, and that's working completely fine.

I don't know wether it really is a bug, or some planned feature to make me spend 30 humus on tilling a single field, but just in case, I list it here.

EDIT:
I put all 30 pieces of humus into that field, but I still can't plant it, probably because the necessary seed ammount is sky high too, more than 100.

Crows attack fields, causing the 600% spike. Replanting will cost 6x the normal of 100% upkeep; aka; 30 humus and 6x the seed depending on the crop.

The field will return to 100% upkeep once planted so you don't need to worry about getting rid of all that upkeep with wood choppings.

you'll need a planters pouch of some kind to plant it from, since as you mentioned, it takes more than 100. then either get crackin' on the glass scarecrows, or just buy the shop one for 5 bucks, best money you'll ever spend

I believe you can plant cabbage with less than 100 seeds, so no pouch would be needed if you chose cabbage.

cabbage uses 15 base, so after a crow's work it would take 90. That said, cabbage seed stacks can go higher than that, anyhow.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
