Tool Belt Glitch

Postby aptson » Sat Apr 02, 2016 7:26 pm

Do you guys think you will ever fix the weapon re-equipping. Currently you are able to have it in your tool belt but only when you go to use another tool. do you think this will ever get patched so it re-equips your weapon when you go to use an attack like with the other tools? If it takes out everything else automatically why not with a weapon?

Auto switching between weapon would be too powerful.

Well i dont think that it is too powerful considering there is auto tool switch. It is the same thing. It is already able to be in your toolbelt i see no reason to not make it just like any other tool.

Autoswitching tools is just about convenience and doesn't effect PvP in a significant way.
If its too confusing I'm sure they could just go back to not letting weapon go into the toolbelts.

Its not too confusing but you cant even put the sword into your toolbelt it has to auto swap into it. At the very least that should be fixed. Its the same with rope.

Also i don't need your passive-aggressive feedback its bad vibes. Typically just ends up with the other person upset, not saying i am but might want to re-think your posting game  .

That's the alternative. If you think that's passive aggressive... you're going to have a hard time here. We made weapons start going into toolbelts solely so you won't drop them on the ground accidentally. But I think that was done back when inventory was limited to only like 24 spaces or so. We can probably undo that change now that you almost have unlimited room. Or it may have been an overweight issue with those of you who like to carry ridiculous amounts of rubble. I don't remember. I'll see what John thinks about changing it back.

Haha thanks but i enjoy having a bit of a hard time, builds character as my grandpa would always say. Honestly i haven't done much of the PvP aspect of the game, so i wont presume to know if its a "fair" mechanic or not. I think that maybe just putting a delay on taking the weapon out itself so as to deter people from being able to just spam different weapons might be a simple solution to that problem though, but to be honest even if people can do that it just add's to the complexity of combat, which games with combat systems like this is never a bad thing. I think that it acting as if taking a sword out of a sheathe would be a nice quality of life feature. i cant count how many times i have went to attack something again after butchering an animal just to realize i do not have a weapon equipped. If it is too much to ask i still think a weapon should be able to be put into your tool belt along with the rope, considering both are "tools" one for killing the other for climbing :P. I appreciate you getting back to me, it shows that you as admins care about what people think, and want to get involved with the community, also it shows a lot of character. Either way i enjoy playing your game and look forward to the multiple improvements and quality of life update's you guys plan to implement.
