Yeah and I'd be 3x as thankful if it went into inventory instead... if not my hand.

I know I wouldnt. It's much easier to find it in your belt than in your inventory, which usually is really cluttered for me.

I think JC said that no weapon will be put in hand FROM the tool belt to prevent people from fast swapping weapons in the middle of the fight. Example: using halebard for range and if a successful stomp lands, immediately swap to sword on belt just by pressing thrust.

And I definitely prefer weapon going into the belt instead of the inventory (which might be full of stuff).

I would like to see artifacts that can be added to belts.

Like sheath artifact that can be added to any belt which provides an inventory slot that provides a fast swap for a sword. But only allowing one of the artifact types so fast swapping with different weapons is not possible but fast swapping with one is possible.

Rope sling for Clubs.
polished Leather lined Bone Sheath for swords.
Steel Chain for halberds.
Polished leather strap with bone buttons for muskets and blowguns.

Perhaps it is even one artifact that does them all but only allows one slot which prevents people from using more than one. I do not see the fact that weapons don't switch as a bug but it does seem like some unnecessary work for something so simple. Yes if you pay attention you can always make sure you have your weapon equipped but it is annoying to kill one dear butcher it and have to swap back from knife to saber.
