can't change characters

i have a sick character which i want to switch off of but when i do it goes to black and does nothing HELP!

Does it have a lean to or homestead? You can't log off if you don't have a homestead somewhere.

but he says "it" (the screen?) goes to black, if he had no leanto it would just say "cant login u got no leanto bro sowwy"
