Lost all equips when was offline

Hi guys, just want to clarify whether it's a bug or not

I haven't played since server went down yesterday, and first I saw today - I was naked : (

The only reason I can think about is someone claimed the territory with my camp, when I was offline, because someone did and I can't see my camp there anymore.

Is it how it works? I was "sleeping" in the camp when I was offline and that action killed and me and took all my stuff?

and one more question : ) is there any legal way to get my territory back? or I need to use trespassing and still my stuff/destroy claiming thing?

So we can still alt vault as long as the alt has a leanto?

To be more specific. Characters with Leantos will have their inventories accessible while offline.

So yes, you can leanto characters in your base and the alt-vault mechanics won't have much effect on you, but you also won't have a tremendous benefit either as those items are just as safe in a chest next to the leanto as they are in your characters inventory.

Before anybody complains about characters without homesteads.... we have it all worked out. I don't feel like turning this thread into every in and out of it all. This is simply the warning that if you must keep goods on an 'alt' make sure he is tagged up to a leanto before the patch hits.

Basically, if your leanto was not on a "claim", then it was likely looted and/or destroyed. It's probably faster to forage your belongings anew than seek retribution.

Yeah that's how it works, basically unclaimed land is free game, this includes leantos and your equipment
This was implemented to avoid alt vaulting, people can also look at the stuff stored in leantos & steal them but by claiming land most people won't bother to steal from you since that can easly lead to their death
To clarify even further, it didn't killed you, if someone destroys your leanto everything in your inventory/leanto drops to the ground

IIRC If the leanto was under the griefer's claim, he committed no crime, otherwise you could search for waste scents
You could learn lacerny to steal your stuff back, but that might get you killed
Just forage back as said above and next time claim your land first
