The only other thing I can suggest is to check for any updates that might have occurred overnight. If you have any software that updates drivers, operating system updates, Java updates, etc. I like my updates to run when I know they're running so if anything changes the next day, I can point at the cause immediately.

Didn't update anything :/ I honestly don't know the cause of this.

Yup, tried all that I could. I cleared Java's cache, temporary files, etc. Uninstalled Java, then reinstalled. Oh well..

You could try Usernm's offline client builds:

Of course, these would only work until there is an update to the game and then they would have to be recompiled and released for downloading again.

You have a problem with your computer and/or network configurations.

Temporarily disable all AV software and firewalls, and check your router settings to see if there is anything that can be blocking it (you could change the router settings back to default if you feel comfortable doing this). If the game would work after you turn everything security related off, then turn them all back on one by one and see if the game still works...you could potentially isolate the issue this way and just disable it when trying to load Salem.

You could also try to do a system restore of your computer from an earlier date to when the game was working.

If you know for a fact that it is not your computer/network then it might be that your ISP has changed something on their end, but you would have to call them to troubleshoot that and they would most likely tell you that it is a problem on your end anyways.

if your running x64 instead of x32 check your java and see that your running the right one. i had this problem and i just now fixed it. I'm running x64 and my java was x32.

if your having the same problem and need to download x64 here is the steps:

1. hit the start menu
2. click all programs
3. click internet explorer x64 (if your running x64 you have to open internet explorer x64 to download the right java)
4. Google java
5. make sure at the top of the java download page that it says x64 java and download
6. install and there you go you should be able to start the game now
