Digging Doesn't Update Digging Speed

When you start digging with a tool such as an axe, then switch to the shovel, the speed at which you are digging doesn't update until you stop digging and then restart. I think that it would be cool if at least when the next dirt was dug, then it would check to see what tool you were using and therefore update the digging speed.

I'm not sure which should be considered the bug: that the activity doesn't update when the tool is switched or that you can even switch tools while performing an activity. I'm inclined to say the latter should be fixed. If you're digging a hole and switch to sword, you're likely going to quit digging. Just like you're not going to actually start digging until you pick up a shovel (assuming you want to use a shovel and not just dig with your hands).

I'm not saying going from a shovel to another item. That already stops digging. But if you go from unarmed to a shovel, you will stay digging at the same rate until you stop digging.
