This topic is not a bug report, it is a question about why a such "disastrous" bug hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm not sure I agree with the analysis that it really is a "disastrous bug". I'm not even sure whether it is intended behavior or not.

Given that you can steal the money purses of players using bears + this technique, the damage it can cause is immense. Specially if people coordinate to bring multiple bears at once to practically garantuee KOs. We are talking about over 6000 silver reward on a lucky day and at least 500 silver if you are not so very lucky but still manage to rob rather "new" players.

I imagine though that people that lose their money purse this way either quit, or wise up and start storing the silver on alts. At which point you'll have to ask yourself whether or not that is scenarios you want to indirectly support and if the gameplay aspect it brings is enough to outweight the negative aspects.

Another aspect is that Boston is an important place for socializing and to create bridges between new and older players. If it becomes too dangerous, which allowing Larceny in Boston effects, people just stop spending as much time in Boston, which is bad for the trading, which leads to people getting more of a single/co-op feel of the game rather than a mmo one.

Furthermore, given the rude reponse you gave by merely posting a link without any other words attached: Why aren't you reporting it, TonkyHonk? You know about the bug, you can be pretty certain that I won't use it to report, so since you know about the issue and recommend using that link, you can report about the issue yourself.

1. being reported on the forums and being filed as a bug report to get confirmed (or denied) by loftar are different.
2. why im not reporting it? because i didnt witness it myself to confirm it. i could mislead the issue by wrong wording as well.
3. you refuse to use it, thats your choice. dont ask for a prompt fix so arrogantly in that case.

Now I wish I had I used my larceny-owning main instead of an alt long ago when I was luring snakes/bears to boston and blocking noobs who tried to attack crickets. Btw you can right click on someone ko'd and send them home to instantly claim their inventory. Not sure if bug or intended feature, but it's kind of useful when a bunch of people see someone get ko'd and they wait for them to explode delicous herbs and you get a head-start.
