I'm using the normal client, but tried with BD Salem now and still had the same problem.

Have you tried checking your security software and network? You might need to configure these.

Sorry, but I am not sure what you want me to configure there.

Salem runs good. My friend can play fine from the same computer with a different account & character, while my character won't work on either computer.
And I just made another character from the same account, playing with the same pc, and that also works fine for over two hours now.

Since the same error occured twice in the same area(the mentioned town) maybe that is the cause?

Quite possibly. When issues are intermittent like this, the likely cause is something in the middle. It is a possibility it's server side. Is it a matter of you just can't log in where the town/settlement is and other people are having the same issue?

Usually when a person is getting persistent connection issues, they have security software installed that is blocking connections for specific programs (or all programs) or across certain ports. You then have to manually go in and configure these to let traffic through. A router that is used for multiple connections in a building can have the same type of security systems built in, so some people have to go in and configure their routers, too. However, if it's the router, usually any computer connected through it will have identical problems.

I've heard of this exact problem on multple occasions. It should correct itself after awhile, but perhaps there is something in your inventory that is not loading and causing game to crash...you could try ninja drop all of your **** on the ground. If it has to do with a building not loading or something, you might just have to wait or read through the error reports and try to find out which object is causing the crash. Either way, something is wrong with your character and you'll have to wait it out, or maybe loftar will be able to fix it. I would just spam the default client with crash logs if I were you.

Just a thought maybe an administrator can manually move his character to another spot,and check the town.. Seems like its the town, or building thats crashing him. It happened to him on two characters same location with an error pop up so cant be an inventory item issue...

instead of one character now its two that are stuck

I just managed to log in with my alt again. Went around the town to provoke the error, and it happened again after a few steps.
Same thing - it logged the character out to the login screen. And everytime I try to join the game with the alt it just keeps sending me to the login screen instead, without even seeing the game world.
Still no error message or the like.

My main also still has the problem.
And I have no idea if the town inhabitants have the same problem, as I don't know anyone there.

Whatever happened, the problem is fixed now. I got my main character back . So "waiting it out" was the best advice
