Garden Pot Recipe (of disaster)

Making a Lead garden pot

Water (7%)= 35.95 salt, 13.88 merc, 13.16 sulpher, 37.01 lead
Lime (7%)= 14.09 salt, 18.93 merc, 21.95 sulpher, 45.05 lead

[First clue something is up] Milk Lime (6%)= salt 35.73, merc 13.93, sulpher 13.24, Lead 37.09

Garden Pot using same values for lime and milk lime above... mixed with

Granite (8%)= 17.61 salt, 22.56 merc, 14.14 sulpher, 45.70 lead

8x6%+1x7%+1x8%= Lead Garden pot (5%); 22.70 salt, 17.93 merc, 16.55 sulpher, and 42.83 lead

Seems water has a lot more do it with it than anything else... ???

However... I'd at least hoped for a 6% pot... how does it drop all the way to 5%... when all my ingredients are 6% plus???

It's more about the relation of all elements rather than percentages.

Milk Lime = Lead 37.09
Granite = 45.70 lead

Garden pot = 42.83 lead

Yep, what Thor said, or put another way, it's the elemental values that combine, not the percentages. The percentages is sort of an overall evaluation of how pure the item is. Combining one pure item with another pure item only results in a pure item if both items are pure in the exact (or nearly exact) same way.

I adjusted the quote to take out everything except the lead values. As you can see this is actually quite sane. If you were to average just the lead values from the 3 inputs (lime, milk of lime, and granite) that would be (45.05+37.09+45.70)/3 which is 42.61, very close to the actual result of 42.83, so yeah it's a bit weighted towards granite and/or lime but not very much since those are so far away from your water.

Basically, your water sucks :( It's 7% pure because it's a high concentration of lead -and- salt, it's not pure lead. You'd have to find lime and granite that are pure in both lead and salt in order to result in a lead/salt purity pot. But you'd be better off just buying some pure as **** lead water since lead water is pretty common AFAIK. That should get you up to 7-8% pots no problem.
