I tried to play Salem but it says "Application Blocked by Security Settings
Your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running with an out-of-date or expired version of java

1. Type "Configure Java" into the bar at the bottom of the start menu.
2. Under the security tab, slide the bar to the bottom.

Instead of changing the slider, you can also add the URLs that your Salem client connects to to the exceptions list in Java. See this thread on the Haven forums for details. You can read the details on Oracle's website: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml. Note that the URLs listed there will be for Haven.

URLs the launcher (potentially) connects to:

Code: Select all
http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/
http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/error
http://plymouth.seatribe.se/res/
http://plymouth.seatribe.se/mt/ss
http://services.paradoxplaza.com/adam/storelette/salem
http://login.salemthegame.com/beta/nregister
http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/salem-res.jnlp
http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/jogl2/jogl-all-awt.jnlp

I realize that is a bit of a list, but I haven't tested yet to see which can be excluded from the list and not have any issues when running.
