Dowsing Rods bugged

Postby Frakked » Fri Oct 18, 2013 4:10 am

Post Patch - October

Using a 9% mercury dowsing rod, I located an iron node. I put a mining entrance on it... and it has 7% salt ore boulders.

Salt was the one purity I don't have a rod in... guess I will now; but I'm not sure what the point is... if purity of the rod is the only thing that matters... now.

I've heard that woo-woo is indiscriminate... but now dowsing rods are too?!

Could you post the exact values on the rod? I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but it might.

I would say that's not unusual at such low purities.

Also, your rod might have been something like 41/39/10/10 (guesstimating the percentage) in elemental composition. It'd only take a tiny difference to tick over to a salt rod.

In ALL cases, elemental composition is much more important than the "purity percentage". In the cases where it is not, it is at least equally important :)
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
