braziers are fine, if i can raid bases solo with 100+ braziers on a 300 stat character for the last year then the rest of you can deal with it as well given you have a half dozen bodies with you everytime you raid anything. the real issue is that as activity in your groups drop and your numerical advantage wanes you see how difficult it is solo or in pairs and dont like it

nerfing braziers/defenses will do nothing but bring the game full circle back to how it was when 20 man russian zergs ruled the lands, also disagree with any sort of special buff for defenders.

Defenders don't need buffs, they got Baziers.

Criminal hunting buff or debuff nerf when it comes to the justice system was just but an idea.
However, I have no complaints as is.

You've been trolled how many times? You must be the most gullible person on the planet.

Supposedly someone saw him on IRC, so meh, whatever. If it was actually him, I'd be surprised, but it would be nice to see him actually playing and testing his game.

Also Jorb is away for 2 weeks at least

I've always known how difficult it's been solo. I've been saying that they were to strong way before YGM and Lee quit.

The only time braziers are OP is when there is a full wall of them. Walls are currently underpowered with the splash mechanic, and are inferior to braziers as a form of defense because of it.

You could have a 20 by 20 square with 76 braziers (in a wall formation) with absolutely no actual walls and it would be better than having a 100x100 with 300 braziers and a plank wall/stone wall combo.

Why?

Because in the event of an attack you can stand on the other side of those braziers and stomp, disabling the attackers. Not to mention repairing the braziers. A solo person could disable up to 4 or 5 people that way. If you do NOT have a brazier wall yourtown can be ***** by 2 titans. (1 for waste 1 to protect and prevent repair)

"But Belgear! You can repair a wall, too!" Not going to go in to full detail, butwalls can be destroyed while outside of stomp range, where braziers cannot. Not only that, the wall can be destroyed without you ever having the chance to repair it.
So don't waste your time on a plank fence, just finish your brazier wall and plant trees

(Ofcourse if you aren't present there are no defenses that will protect you.)

ITT Tribe kills last three players on Plymouth and trolls troll trolls by pretending to be trolled. The rest of the thread belongs in the suggestions forum.

If anything, braziers need a buff. It should take at least as much effort to destroy a base as it took to build it, including manhours that went into tiering fields. What's missing is proper theft mechanics (as opposed to vandalism) that would let you sneak into a base and steal stuff or even assassinate people (but not destroy buildings and fields) without triggering braziers. But anyway, I think a problem with braziers is that they're to spammy, you need 60 to get max damage and at that density they start to get in the way. I would buff individual brazier damage but reduce stacking, so you hit same max damage at like 20 braziers. The whole point of moving from Haven's defense system was to replace shell defense with defense in depth, and tiny vaults with solid brazier walls subvert that.

I like the braziers as they are now. Once upon a time a solo person could stomp all over 150 braziers and not even flinch. Now a solo person in the same bile range will have extreme difficulties with high numbers of them. I am glad I can't just stroll onto claims and raid what I want. I am glad that I have to think about it, maybe get a team of 2-3 of us and do it.. Its an MMO people are supposed to play together, and as such I think defenses should not be for a 1vs1. One 500 bile character should not be able to walk in and demo a town with 200 braziers, not even close...If that was the case, which it used to be, braziers was pointless..
