Moderation Complaints Megathread v.2.0

my biggest moderator complaint is the fact that none of them know a god damn thing about the game yet constantly blather on like they do, complete with a myriad of idiotic suggestions for problems that do not exist and endless bashing of the game. new players come to these boards and read their ***** and falsely give their ramblings more weight than they deserve (because most games the moderators actually play and are veterans of said game)

I'm pretty sure you are excluded from this list Tech as I don't recall you forcing your opinions on game development on others and you have always been honest about the amount of time you are investing into the project. Same would go for Magic and Sabinati IMO. The problem really stems from players like Potjeh who have accomplished very little and look to blame others for this fact and Colesie who has the nerve to write a "Base Defense Guide" yet he has lost MORE bases with INFERIOR designs than ANY other avid poster. If Potjeh approached things and said "I'm a very casual player who is not playing on any competitive level but I feel that my game time would be more enjoyable if ___________" then I'm sure less experience players would take offense. And in terms of Coles the title should just be changed to "How not to build a base" or just simply be a question to players who DO have bases that have not fallen so easily explain what they did instead of Coles pretending like he knows when clearly he doesn't.

yeah pretty much, because of a few moderators more than half of the posts BY moderators seems to fit my above criteria. other moderators are fine.

Why such a short ban? Most people take 3 days to a week ban for repeat offenses and when they know the rules.

Not a repeat offense. Didn't know the rule. Still not listed in the rule section but we do have confirmation from the Lesser Mod so its probably a good idea to stay away from racial topics.

#1: Every one of those bans was reversed by Paradox for corrupt or inconsistent moderation.
#2: None of those bans occurred since the forums had been turned over to Seatribe.
