There are over 100+ Treaty Payers, over 150+ people logged on at any given time. Our faction is a fraction of that player base. Try again.

Rly? http://login.salemthegame.com/portal/state states differently. Haven't seen more than 40-50 recently. Ahh.. stupid me, you probably meant online status of all 3 severs summed :)

Luckily they will be back if Jamestown gets shut down.

Or those filtht squatters will stop playing. Who would want to be griefed or harassed all the time?

Except they actually can. Those who were here long enough remember when there was a town of 33 people known as Gallows Hill slaughtering noobs off the Boston Claim. The Tribe banded together, stood up, and put a stop to their nonsense with an army of (6) lesser-humour'd warriors. It has been done in the past. It theoretically can be done in the future. Just because you lack the knowledge and skill to do it does not mean it cannot and has not already been done.

Wasnt purity system changed and people can't get 500 humours anymore? Only those who achived it before changes got it?

Anyhow, this game dies... MMO with 3 servers and less than 200 players online overall?

You dont think anyones going to take your word on that, do you?
I want to see this one bug reported before it was in the bug tracker myself.

All "bugs" are delivered to The Great Spirit months before they are used against the Squatters. When the Great Spirit fails to "Fix" something that is reported then the Tribe takes this as his divine command to utilize it against those who are in need of the heavy hand of justice.

I have trouble finding this particular quote here on forums. Care to link the post?

You wouldn't try to put your words into Great Spirit's mouth to further your own goals and trick your subordinates and other salemites into worshipping you, right?

I believe it was in a thread that no longer exists but I recognize it. =)

I don't know who all jorb has stated this to, but I don't recall seeing it public. This might have been from a private conversation he had with jorb, it might be from the Master Mason forum. I do recall him saying it to the mods at least at one point. So I will confirm what The Chief states. (At least as he shows in his gif. Any other comments are purely his own opinions or statements.)

Rofl, then show me a picture that presents this bug reported, if youre saying "All" the bugs then this one must be included there so it shouldnt be a problem to deliver a picture.

Ohh, and thanks for finally publicly admitting to that it was a bug.

We have reported dozens if not 100 "Bugs" at this point. I don't bother to screenshot each of them and leave it to Jorb to determine which ones are crucial. Bugs like:

Instant Teleport to anybody in your party on the map

&

Instantly turning items into 100% purity from 0% Purity

He patched almost immediately. Others have been left in-tact for months so we are waiting until the right time to use them and see if his opinion as an intended mechanic stands. Its not our place to call something a BUG or not. That which the developer fails to patch when notified is an implied decision that it is an intended mechanic as far as I'm concerned.

As for destroying stuff on your own P-Claim. I still don't think it is a bug. I think you should be able to destroy town objects on your own personal P-Claim. Clearly Jorb felt the same way by not fixing it for as long as he did. Unfortunately for the public Gallows whining was so loud that he made an unnecessary change to fix a mechanic that was not broken. I would have no issues if they reverted it to where the owner of a P-Claim can break his a Town Bell on it.

Good afternoon,

Being able to destroy upkept authority objects if they were on someone else's p-claim was certainly a bug.

At the time of the Gallow Hills incident, I felt that being able to destroy an authority object on your own pclaim was intended - especially given the "Eminent Domain" mechanic which allows Towns to wipe out undesired pclaims. I still feel that this behavior would be more proper than the complete invulnerability that exists today.

As Chief alluded to, the change to make authority objects indestructable even if you own the land they are on appears to have been made due to political/"friendship magic" pressure exerted on the developers from the Gallow Hills faction. It certainly wasn't the last time harmful changes to game mechanics have been implemented(or had a needed fix delayed) in such a way.

Either way, you do not paint yourself in a flattering light by trying to make excuses for your former villagemates. The fall of Gallow Hills was predominantly caused by their own missteps:
-Fabricating a spurious reason to siege "Blind the King," including sockpuppeting on the forums
-Making arrogant pronouncements of their invincibility, claiming they would never be held accountable for their sins (this and the previous misstep is what led to my involvement with the MM Tribe)
-Mass recruiting without screening
-After the fall of Gallow Hills, attacking an innocent nearby town in a blind rage - leaving scents near their recently-smashed hearthvault
-Failing to defend the town they had taken over, allowing those scents to be collected
-Having above scents lead to a hearthvault they were unwilling/unable to defend

Had the mechanic change implemented after the fall of Gallow Hills been in place during the raid, the town still would have fallen. The vault was breached and lean-tos destroyed while the bell stood. The only difference would have been that wiping out some of the squares in the town would have taken the Tribe a bit more time.

Faithfully,

-Paul the Paymaster

Reality check here. Why do you get to choose to destroy town hall if it's on "your land"? You don't unless you made that charter with the town to begin with. If a town decided to establish itself and assign that right to claim owners, so be it, but it shouldn't be something that can be done by default. (Who would be stupid enough to allow this, anyway, unless the town founder puts in on his land and is acting as the "charitable trust" for the whole of the town.?) After all, why should a person that joins a town after its founding get to work around the rules? My thought is that you only hold this position for the trolling value, not because of any other concept or thought.
