It wasn't public.

It was at the point in time when I linked it. If you "switched" it to private after the fact then that doesn't change if it was public when I posted it. MagicMan confirmed that the video was easily located with a Youtube search. I think it was "horrible music by canadians". Or something like that.

I don't know which video was linked and coles hasn't told me in private, so I don't know if you can find it on a search. My understanding is that you're not supposed to be able to if it is set as private. I'm not a YouTube contributor (I just like leaving snarky comments on videos ) As khaztropix points out, it's not hard to find his channel.

Find it or not we aren't suppose to be posting personal things about others. There have been bans and warning given out for posting pictures people have linked on this forum. Magically when a master mason is involved the mod team changes their mind.

Feel free to post an example of where a Moderator placed action against a player for posting a public youtube video. Until then it looks like your just trolling the Moderation Complaints thread which you should know better about.

The video was set to private, where only those with links can view it. I'd never shared the links and the videos are just on my channel for memories of when I started playing music years ago lol, it was not intended to be public; thus the privacy setting. I'm not sure how you got the link, as I said

Might want to look into that. I can just go to this Channel:

And find a whole bunch of public videos for that user name. All equally bad music talent. ALL PUBLIC.

I'm simply trying to help you figure out the complexities of Youtube permissions as clearly your having issues and there are several more videos on there that do not appear to need links to access. It has to do with moderation because I guess a moderator feels that posting public youtube videos is worth discussing. As far as I knew anything somebody throws out there about themselves on youtube is fair game to redistribute on these forums. Could be wrong though. Would be nice to hear an official statement on that rule.

Please don't turn this into harassment or personal attacks, moderator intervention will be necessary if that happens. Even with precedent for actions available, moderators are allowed to use discretion when handling any complaints. Given how this subject skirts the line of acceptability so closely I can see why it was just closed and no warning/ban was issued. Mods shouldn't upset things and make a big deal out of everything when it's unnecessary; we understand that over-moderation is a bad thing.

If it is at all possible, it'd be nice if we could accept that Colesie does not want these videos and that information circulating and let the issue go to rest.

Please believe me when I say that no one is exempt from moderation when it is necessary, master mason or otherwise. =)
(Mind you, I get that it might seem a bit shady that a mod is telling you that mods can be trusted. If you really don't believe me then you should contact jorb or loftar with your concerns.)
