im glad you managed to find something positive to say.

That must have been quite hard. I suppose i should be flattered that you only disagreed an attacked one of my opinions, but let me ask you...

Do you intend to fix this game by yourself? If i simply came here and posted what was clearly stated as my opinion, and the first thing is one of the older players find one tiny little thing to attack in order to discredit/belittle the entire list of ideas, no wonder you get nowhere. Why dont you just make the game yourself, if you truly beliver yours is the only opinion that matters, or that its your game because you were here first?

Now if you are the game designer, then sure its your game.

otherwise, like I care about your opinion.

Try posting solutions instead of digging holes bro, you'll get further in life.

What makes you think this game needs to be "Fixed". Perhaps your expectations of player-base need to be adjusted? Or perhaps the additional implementation of animal husbandry and witch-craft are all this game needs to achieve a healthy population. You based your argument on your original flawed premise that the game itself is broken when in fact the only thing that was broken was your dedication and skill level to be successful in this game. In a sandbox you are only limited by your own imagination and by goals that you yourself have defined. You have NOT obtained the max purity, the deepest pit, the largest mine, the highers humours, the biggest proficiencies, the largest base..... Yet you still feel like this game has failed you in some regards? You sir have failed yourself and you are lashing out in this thread as an attempt to hide your own ineptness from your conscious thought..

jbarefoot wrote:If i simply came here and posted what was clearly stated as my opinion,

And you were quickly shown that your opinion is ****.

jbarefoot wrote:and the first thing is one of the older players find one tiny little thing to attack in order to discredit/belittle the entire list of ideas, no wonder you get nowhere.

You didn't have a list of ideas. NOthing you stated was new or revolutionary. You posted how to make this game like every other game you have played. But you arn't playing those games are you? You QUIT those games didn't you? Yet you come here and try to make this game more like the games you have already quit and then state that you are now quitting this game. You are a sad pathetic quitter and somehow the fact that you are "quitting" is suppose to be evidence that something needs to be done here. Nothing is further from the truth.

jbarefoot wrote: Why dont you just make the game yourself, if you truly beliver yours is the only opinion that matters, or that its your game because you were here first?

Its my game because I'm Jorgen. Everybody knows this.

jbarefoot wrote:Now if you are the game designer, then sure its your game.

The Jorgen has claims to ownership of this game in the minds of the noob and the hearts of the meek. That is enough for me.

jbarefoot wrote:otherwise, like I care about your opinion.

A fly cares little about the opinion of the mighty steed it lands upon as well. Doesn't change the fact that you are still insignificant by comparison.

Says the quitter.

i have not quit

you are a sad little man who assumed too much.

I see no point continuing to waste my time in coversation with a half-wit, i have scientific papers to read and write.

Good day to you sir, and please, for the love of god, stop assuming so much.

jbarefoot wrote:1. What is the point to Salem?

The point of Salem is to be the strongest around, so people would need more then 3 people to kill you.
You can force a political system and punish/reward people.

Its a sandbox game, there shouldn't be a linear progression, YOU chose what the point of the game is. Do you want to be the Almighty Turkeymaster ? Master Base Builder ? Hoarder of crabs ? Ruler of the Server ?
It's all up to you !!
jbarefoot wrote:2. Humours

While I partially agree with you on this one (new players having a hard time catching up), I also disagree on some points.
In 1-2 weeks casual play you can make you base so good defended (50+ braziers,a wall & a claimstone) that even the strongest players can't breach (in less than 1 day)
With a startbase like that, you can start on the farming & gluttoning.
It will take you a little longer to reach 300+ humours, but this is still possible after the purity nerf ! (it took me 6 months to get to 300! pre-nerf)
jbarefoot wrote:3. Longevity

Totally agree, the game lacks small minigames, randomness & events ! Add achievements & goals and it will be a lot more interesting (who doesn't want to kill 5000 crickets for a fancy title ???)
jbarefoot wrote:4. Griefing - mostly in forums.

Totally agree on the forum-part, ingame griefing is just part of a sandbox, if you get griefed, direct yourself to the server's justicekeepers, or bring justice yourself !!!

Gotta love all the players who don't think that not playing for extended periods of time =/= quit.

I feel bad for whoever has to read those "Scientific" papers you are writing. Most science is based on fact. Yours is most likely the reality you choose to advocate which has changed in less than 20 minutes in this thread. I'm glad to see I was able to succeed in getting your parasitic thoughts off these forums and back into your mind where they belong. I'm sure the game has a much better chance now that your "opinions" will be kept to yourself going forward.

I haven't quit EVE. I have stopped playing for a while because I don't have a computer that can keep up with the client hardware changes. Having kids while still stuck working in the service industry will do that to a man.

"jorgen" is not an approved nickname for the dev team. (Actually, people call them what they want, but JLo, jorbtar, and loftorb are the typical "nice" ones.) Chief is trolling you on that. He is NOT a dev. As for the rest, well, I think you're both old enough to settle your arguments.
