I'd like to share my story.
Day 1 - Settling with the criminals.
Journey started a week ago - when a folk named Belethor invited me to join their "proving grounds". At first i did not hesitate to follow him as he seemed calm and consistent.
In good faith I traveled to their prison camp. Yes a prison camp. Everything seemed normal at glance and than it started to take a weird curve. Treating me like a dog he told me to build my Lean to outside of the walls of the town. At the time it did not seem a threat, but the story unfolds. We have all seen the karate movie where "wax on & wax off" has a valuable lesson - but this started to get out of hands as he forced me to collect 30 Hay "for the town". I don't remember signing up for slavery. Without asking any questions I collected the Hay. In return i did not even get a "Thanks" for my effort.
Day 2 - Cloaks and daggers - more like "wooden swords and bamboo sandals"
(Found their post on forum, where they limp for free labor: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7093 )
First of all i want to point out - they call themselves "veterans" - I personally think that is a little exaggeration because at fighting lesson with crickets he misses the first 3 slingshots and lashes his sabre in the air like fighting ghosts. How can i take his suggestions seriously if a cricket seems to be tremendous battle. In day two i managed to hold my prejudices back.
Day 3 & 4 - Prison life
Days passed, i'd seen other people baited in the village and abused by lifting heavy boulders from the forest for hours. My rock fillet fishes mysteriously vanished from the boxes. They asked to cut woods and collect hay again.
Day 5 - Last drop to my cup
Things evolved, i managed to afford myself a my very own copper pot for boiling mushrooms. What unfortunately got stolen just a day later and i am sure that the village member with a white farmer shirt took it. I insisted that they solve the copper pot problem - but they said their hands are tied. They cant manage their own little village. It is an evil nest where criminals gather and take advantage of newcomers.
I seek the help of brave people to tell their stories and spread the word about slavedrivers like them. I wish other new people the best of luck not to deal with thieves and little scam artists.
The most important lesson i learned the hard way - There are 2 types of people. One that are honest and others that are not.
Father of ours, thou who art in heavens,
Be thy name hallowed.
Come thy riche,
Worth thy will, on earth as also in heaven.
Our daily loaf do sell to us today,
And forgive us our guilts as also we forgive our guilters
And do not lead thou us into temptation, but alese us of evil.
Soothly.
