(The basic problem we see with the system is, by the by, not that it is too complex or deep, but rather the opposite. The system rewards you heavily for spamming a single optimal food type, and that makes all other food types useless, boring and uninteresting, basically.) Thus that is, quite simply, precisely what we intend to do.

I don't know if you draw the right conclusion here. You've recently added the tiered food update, and that hasn't even had the time to be properly tried yet. Most people have barely, if at all, reached tier 3 crops.
I think the gluttony system in se is fine. Except for the timer.
I do agree that there's recipes that need revision after said update though.
Did Claeyt shut up yet?
WARNING: berrymash laxatives can cause your character to explode violently, after eating chymically unstable foods.

I believe you are misinterpreting the dis-satisfaction with the current system in place as one that stems from the values given to foods. The Great Spirit wishes for the people to have a plentiful palette that experiences all the content that his divine hands have crafted. Regardless of adjusted values in the other foods (which I agree need adjustment) under this current system there will always emerge a clear "optimal" path. Once this path is discovered a mass production of said food will inevitably follow. A reworked gluttony system would deliver us an incentive to cooking diverse foods, motivate us to utilize additional industries, and enrich our experience with Salem as a whole.

Those who have investigated the current system know that the tier'd system gives us the tools to achieve the humors to compete, and therefore, effectively eliminating the need for character wipes. The only question that remains is can the enjoyment of getting there be increased by a more intellectually stimulating system. I shall remain faithful that The Great Spirit shall deliver us just that.

The advantages of the H&H lp system is that you can do whatever you want while your curios are studied. In Salem, since curios are studied instantly, in early game you need to constantly carry around curios if you want to be studying. It makes inventory management a lot more of a pain.

Another point, very important in my mind, is the dependence on your base. WIth the last patch, more than ever, having tiered fields is very important. They take several weeks to get that high, and can be destroyed in a matter of seconds. I think the bias towards seeds and proficiencies from HnH is a better way to go.

Other things include the pure compost bins and (probably in the future) other workplaces. They are not liftable here as they are in HnH, so just porting replacements in isn't possible.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

The money probably goes through Paradox and pays for any server costs, then is split somehow with Seatribe and Paradox after that.

Hmm. . . without paradox, will there be any new art assets?

There's a fairly large back-log of relevant things such as animals and whatnot. We won't be running out any time soon.

They show nothing but negativity towards Salem and are a bad first impression to new players. Moderators who are politically motivated and show bias such as these 3 should also not be in any position of power.

That is all.

Totally agree,

As a new player I was very deterred to see certain mod-comments... even in this thread.. one of them jumps on the '******'-train.. (i wonder if he knows what the word means... seems like he's only a kid..)

To jorb/loftar, I'm happy to see you have more freedom now, I hope you can look past some trolls and listen to real advice & comments from actual players !

And I disagree. I don't even know why MagicManICT and Potjeh are on this list. They have been good moderators both here and on HnH forums. Sure, they can make some mistakes - they are only humans after all. But I would trust their judgement over anyone's, who seems to oppose them. I guess their biggest "crime" was presenting their own opinions

Oh well, if you don't make any enemies then it means you didn't do much.
