Is this related to the massive lag I get on the Paradox forums? have Paradox swapped their servers for Commodore 64's with a view to epic retro gaming?

Nope. Paradox Plaza always has intermittent lag problems depending on time of day and other issues. This is hosted with the servers and such by Seatribe. (pretty sure, anyway. I know it's considered "off site" from the rest of the Paradox forums.)
