Does anyone have a clue why my client crashes when I use ctrl + L and then try to grab land (to use the digging tool)?

I uninstalled java 6 and installed java 7 and it didn't make a difference.

Since moving to a town enders client crashes constantly, every 15-30 minutes or so.

It used to crash maybe twice a day.

I rolled back to Java 6 from Java 7 and it still happens.

Out of memory errors every time (when it bothers to give me one instead of going straight to desktop.)

is there a way to launch this client without running the "updater" it is down again and i really don't like it when **** attempts to download something to my computer anyway, besides the once every 4 months the devs update the game client is infrequent enough that i think i can handle updating manually.

Ender Client's updater.jnlp tries to download some files then suddenly crashes without any error. I monitored the process of the updater and it auto-closes.
I tried Java 6 and the latest Java and it's the same. Clearing the Java cache doesn't work either. I Disabled every possible firewall or antivirus protection and it still doesn't work.

To understand what's going on, I took a screenshot at the right moment of what the updater does and where it stops.

Other notes:
- salem.jnlp didn't create any files in the default folder (C:\Users\[username]\Salem) (or .salem whatever). The command "%HOMEPATH%\Salem" returns an error that states "Windows cannot find '\Users\<username>\Salem'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

- updater.jnlp didn't create/update anything
- people who tested the Ender Client stated that they have two folders in the default folder created by the salem.jnlp and updater.jnlp (Salem and .salem). I have none.
- The mod at the "technical issues" stated that I should post here about this problem even tho I addressed the issue that there is no "Salem" folder created by the .jnlp of the game. (Even tho others have it...wat?)
- I tried cheating by copying the folders they have to my pc and it doesn't work...just like the mod stated.
- Using Windows 7 on 32 Bits. Java is the latest version (7 update 25).

Hope this post covers everything to resolve this issue.

I've been using the client for about a week now. All of the sudden I'm getting an error when I try to log in that says "this client is too old". Ideas?

I was just using it a couple of hours ago and now I get the same thing, there must have been an update that the ender client has not caught up with yet. Hopefully it will soon.
