I must admit I did not read the entire thread, ut what do you feed your worms with? Im talking about stuff that is "non-legacy". I use some foregables with 3 % purity. I have gotten 1% worms so far which yield humus with 1,05 multiplier. Next step would perhaps be using pumpkin flesh once it passes 3%?

I use (legacy) pumpkin flesh for worms above 5-10%.
I used random gatherables to get them to 5% first, not to waste too much legacy pumpkin flesh (I don't have that much). Now I use the pumpkin flesh from my fields to feed new worms to 10%.

I still have to test if worms eat oatmeal cookies.

As far as I can see worms eat only "any plant". http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Any_Plant

what do i do after my worms reach the same purity as the best stuff i can forage for them? i can't produce humus with more purity than my worms, so how will i grow higher purity pumpkin flesh to feed them?

crops still get a random purity change per harvest cycle. So you can get slightly higher crops than your current humus, which you can in turn feed to your worms.

Of those crops that grow on fields only pumpkin yields worm food.

without legacy items with 50 90% purity its not possible even after year of grind to do more than 5% pure humus I think.

With legacy items i should hit ~23-25% humus, i would like to sell some boards but the cuttings grows so slow >.>(still waiting for ones from my 1st generation.... ~1,5 month?)

could someone please explain about the worm purity and board purity combine to produce the humus purity?
i have 6 3% pythons in my bin made from 6% boards, and the humus purity is 2%. why is it less than my worms? if my worms go up to say 4% or 5%, what humus purity will come then? if i get purer boards, will the humus be more pure?
how do i make it so i get humus of at least the same purity as my worms, so i can grow pumpkin flesh to feed them?

- The final purity of the compost bin is less than the purity of the boards, because nails and plugs are counted in as 0%.

- You don't need to have exactly or strict better purity of your humus than the desired target purity of your crop. A little bit less + luck with the RNG (which determines crop purity) can raise the purity of the crop. Yesterday I harvested 2% purity crop which was planted by using 1% purity humus.

- To further improve your humus, continue purity farming on your trees & replace your compost bins.
In feudalism, it's your count that votes...
