You already answered the question. You have a very large notice on when a siege starts and its been proven a few times that repairs and refills hold people back. Not sure what you are complaining about here.

walls/gates are easy to break, trees can be chopped down, braziers have limited ammo and are broken with ease, and they have unlimited alts ( what stops them throwing alts at the braziers until they stop firing.. the crime debuff is so easy to bypass it may as well not be there at all), If we are not there to actually challenge them, repair walls and refill braziers (pfff yeah me with my 30-40 humours challenge someone with 10 times that).. make your base a crapton of things, it will look like abandoned/poor
if you have a mine, do all you can inside

He just said he has 30-40 humours, do you think he has built a Townbell to get that large notice before a raid?

The population is so damn low if you put up a single stone wall and a dozen braizers nobody is going to mess with you outside of some titans and nothing is going to stop them if they want in bad enough.

My Advice: Build whatever defenses you can, alt vault away any valuables and don't worry about losing what you build. Your character is the only thing that matters. I also wouldn't read these forums very much, there is a small vocal minority here that makes salem sound all scary, when it's really quite nice most of the time.

Plymouth is pretty peaceful, too. The tribe has a bad reputation, but they are very kind to treaty payers and potential recruits. They also let some new players stay at the reservation for free.
