There's just an area chat, but you could make your own IRC channel and let people know somehow (through a trade topic or by using area chat in the square).

It will likely end up there as Paradox sells all their games through Steam. I know loftar had it on his to do list at one point, but never heard if it was completely scrapped or just put on the back burner for sometime around release.

Doubtful. We would get a few thousand and then the numbers would dwindle back down after a month or so
