Enable whole head cabbage to throw into bins and troops

Postby vitaalt » Fri May 10, 2013 3:49 am

Hi, Thanks for making such a wonderful game!

I've been working on my field to get the 2nd tier product lately.
And with only 20 fields in hand, how the handle the crops became a problem.

The cereals are fine as along as I keep baking.
The pumpkins go straight to the bins as I'm working on humus purity too.
But coleslaw.......pain in the ass!
My place do not have the capacity to turn them all into cabbage cake,
so my only option is to feed them to my turkeys.

However, unlike pumpkin that can go straight in without slicing it, coleslaw need to be split and feed them leaf by leaf instead of a whole head like pumpkin
That's really time consuming, taking the time that I could have go out and forage for my worms and stuff.

Since the pumpkin can go straight in the bin, why can't coleslaw?
It would be wonderful if you guys can enable the same function for coleslaw!!
Thanks!

Edit: for clarification, cabbage as a whole head of cabbage into the bin or whatever

You do know about the shift+ right click command to throw things into the bin? Also wouldnt tossing pumpkin into the worm bins be better than compost unless your worms are far ahead of the pumpkin?

that colewort nerf may be becouse when you start to have random plenty on your fields, usually you will ghater 4 (example) heads of cabbage with not a fixed number of leaf per head... an head can be with 2-3 leaf and the other with the normal 6

may be that
may be not

NO! I don't know about the shift +rc command...
How does that work exactly?
I tried and nothing happen, still won't let me throw whole head cabbage into troop.....
And yes, my worms and consider way ahead with my pumpkin still remain at 0% lol

You pick something up that you want to put in the humus bin, hold shift key, and click to put it in the bin. When you do that, something else in your inventory that can go in the bin will appear in your hand. Keep clicking until you've put everything in the bin. Just be sure you don't have something in your inventory you can put in the bin, but don't want to. Wouldn't want to toss it in by accident.

You have to split the colewort, but now it will go much faster.

You can toss whole pumpkins with 0-6 flesh in them from field plenty into the bins w/o splitting. Probably just an oversight they never got around to correcting (or are doing it to troll people)

I for one would also be pretty pleased if I could stop splitting the darn coleworts and just throw them into my compost bins / coops whole.
Did Claeyt shut up yet?

Yeah I can only harvest 2 cabbage fields at a time, and bring them two by two to the compost bins because I need the remaining space for the leaves when I split the cabbages. When you've got a lot of fields, this quickly becomes a pain in the ass. Why can't I just fill my inventory with heads of cabbage and simply throw them into the bins?

Edit: And when I do that, I have to split them one at a time and throw them in, split another one, throw them in, repeat until heads are gone, then harvest 2 more cabbage fields, repeat that whole process again and again until fields are all done.
