On the humours
As was said multiple times already, I believe, a wipe is forthcoming when jorbtar decide the purity system is completely finished and balanced to their liking.
interesting since everything mentioned on the topic is that there will not be wipes, just because you and the other 15 stat newbs want a wipe doesnt make it forthcoming.

I actually do not want a wipe

I have spent a lot of time in my base and around the town I live in, I would rather not have to start all over again with terraforming. Hate terraforming.
I can't actually find the post in question, but I should nuance my original post: I remember it as such:
my mind wrote:IF we want to do a wipe, we will surely do it AFTER the alchemy system has been fixed completely.

Because? It looks like our resident old purity character abusers seem to drive out more players than they would if they simply didn't have them at all. I mean, have you seen the "scalp collecting" thread?
"Hey look! We just screw every single player that has played this server since the beginning. We didn't just roll them back to people that started half a year later, no! we just deleted their characters completely."
I actually found the quote I was looking for on this one

I obviously do not want to tell anyone what to do or how to play the game, but this kind of the approach to raiding that we at least want to incentivize. I could live just fine with having a couple of chests and some valuables/my foodstocks stolen from me, but If I lost all my infrastructure.... well... that would be much worse.

No reasonable player would conclude that torches are somehow easier to light than outdoor fire-places without it being told to them first. It's not in any in-game guides either. To add to that, it's still just chance to light one and it does fail occasionally. I thought one of the reasons we started to program games on computers was to eliminate the need for dice roll style approaches to game-play?
Nope

just that you know don't have to roll the dices yourself anymore
MaoZeDong wrote:Kandarim wrote:just sacrifice one iron bar for a flint&steel
That's real easy to say when you're not a new player. Buying one can cost upwards of seventy silver and buying the bar of iron alone even more than that.
which was my entire point. At the beginning creating fire is a pain, but once you get settled it's one of the first things you notice that just became a lot easier.
edit: forum can't handle my quote-awesomeness
