While talking he seemed like a nice guy (Dangerous Dan or something was his name). I also liked the whole Roleplaying approach.
What I didn't like was the "show of force" - he's broken several containers with stuff I worked hard to collect.
This might seem as a silly matter for veteran players but it's not for those who only started recently.
What I want to say - why not change your approach? Leave a message board instead of destroying stuff.
I asked him to slay me in the end. Paying the money is nothing, the protection it offers is actually good to have - I would've agreed to the treaty without hesitation.
It's the attitude that's the problem.
Good evening,
Lester Garro, correct?
I may have left a signpost under other conditions - however, I was on my way to handle another matter, and came across your claim in transit, without materials for a signpost.
I wish you luck on your next go-around. Based on the productivity evident in your claim site, and how you've taken your loss in stride, I'm sure you'll do fine. If you decide to return to Plymouth, do let me know. I do have three bits of advice for you, going forward:
-Don't build a townhouse before you have walls and some braziers. A townhouse is a sign of wealth, and attracts raiders. A townhouse without walls or braziers is hard to pass up.
-Don't have full permissions (trespassing/larceny/vandalism) granted on your white-color kins. When you were KO'd and kinned Dangerous Dan, at that point I was free to poke around your claim with impunity. Set the full permissions to another color, and only code kin with that color selectively.
-Don't get riled up by the trolls on these forums. Anyone with more than a few hundred posts should probably be ignored. Accusations of a new poster being a sockpuppet is their standard response to drive newcomers away.
Faithfully,
-Paul the Paymaster (a.k.a. Dangerous Dan Dabrowski)
