Ive been playing on plymouth since march and it really isnt as hyped up as some people make it. Yes there are a lot of hollowed out bases but there are a fair amount of active players. I have never once seen any tribe members anywhere unless you count boston. Never paid any tax and got raided only once (not the tribe) in which none of my infrastructure was really hurt. If you can keep people from abusing the follow bug and stay away from landmarks then you will be just fine.

This^ play safe and smart and you have nothing to worry about. My 1x1 abuse base and current village with actual people have had zero problems.

My base is pretty far from anything and not very obvious.
Playing for a little less than two months, refuse to pay the ridiculous treaty and so far i have seen only a few people around my base who were apparently a couple of wandering newbies followed around by some weird aggressive guy.
Apart from them i have seen only abandoned bases but no other players and i wander pretty far from my base at times.
Pick a good spot far away from Boston and you'll be fine i guess.
Apart from the obvious looking around for hours to find four of each everything.
