Need help form Candy Gang (Roanoke)

I did find half of what I have as an abandoned claim ... I'm still learning about this game. I just got to brazier forging. Well I may have shown the whole server my place and it's poorly defended, but sure as hell ain't worth raiding, unless u find 0% pure humus and seeds rewarding. I'll just go see about myself, did not want to make a huge deal of it, I just followed the advice of a passing by Candy Gang member that told me to report crimes to them. Anyway I can live without what I lost, even the raider found my stuff worthless as it only took a couple of 0% inspirationals.

Don't get discouraged. Theft and siege are common parts of this game, braziers/walls just prolong the inevitable assault on your homestead.

Also, paving is your enemy. One day, I assume, putting buildings on pavement will be mandatory - but as it stands it's just something cosmetic, and worst of all is that it is like a beacon on minimap, calling people to your homestead. Check out Coles' base defense guide, lots of it is useful, and tries to prepare new players for the dangers of raiders.

On further inspection all it took was the charcoal from some coal clamps and it scattered it all over the tree stumps in my proximity (probably to pick it up later)

In all seriousness, and without (much) malice, I wouldn't put too much stock in that guide. While well-intentioned, I'm sure, much of the guidance will just get you into trouble.

Your best bet is to establish a positive relationship with a faction the has recent raiding experience, and ask them for some tips.

Haha ... I was always wandering what happened to the old owner of that place ... feared the worst. I don't mind joining you, I gotta pack up for the long journey ahead and maybe convince a good old nearby hermit that we help each other to join me too. There have been 3 people in that camp then. I have an alt S of there and it had 2 completely different guys there awhile ago. Camp Recycling, it makes Smokey the Bear happy.
