No, much more. Sry, Roanoke is crashed, can't count the exact number of slots atm. Think it's 15

Devs do things the way they want and if they don't bother with your whines and comments, maybe they have a plan for the grand picture. Whatever it is, if you don't find Salem fun, move on and play something else. If you still want to play it, try to adapt to the situation and less pointless whines please.

I do like all the latest updates, i'm just not sure i would play the game if i would start right now due the fact its alot harder now as newcomer.

You should stop calling me a whiner, i just want to give them a feedback, they most likely won't listen to me or anyone but it might turn the direction a little :D

I like the new mechanic. Maybe poisonous shrooms aren't that impressive, but the possibilities are surely exciting. Having recipies accepting different kinds of materials and having different effects depending on materials used surely has great potential. I expect that gear / tools / buildings would have different properties depending on their material type. Who knows, maybe it will even lead to more local resources with many substitutes. Imagine different kinds of wood from different trees / areas. Different types of stone or herbs. And recipies gaining different properties depending on what you used. People asked for more regional resources, and this looks like a chance to implement them.

Of course for that we will need some interesting properties, modified recipies and more recource substitutes. Time will tell

The whole "killing newbies" thing is nonsense. After having stuffed my face with witch's hats I can safely say that all it does is bring down your max humors to about 10% of their normal value, and that's it. Worst thing that could be done with this is to leave pies made with witch's hat outside your claim so that unsuspecting raiders foolishly use your toxic pies as phlegm regen to break your walls. Soon as they do that you can proceed to smack them up with slightly more ease. Having shroom related products on stalls or even being sold in barrels will leave the same risk as buying pumpkins instead of flesh, or ears of cereal for seeds rather than the seeds themselves. You'll get trolled once with a tiny debuff, you'll walk it off, and you'll blacklist that seller / stall and move on. If anything, this is a decent way of seeing which sellers are serious enough to spend time boiling their shrooms before selling them. A tiny poison debuff is a very insignificant risk to determine which sellers are slightly more serious than the others. Either way, as with the other updates we'll just have to wait and see how this will fit into the big picture.

Also, @ Bubba : I feel the same double-edged feelings towards the game, except we're leaning towards the opposite sides of the sword. I too think the game has great potential, and would like to see it become the awesome game that I know it can be. On the other hand I'm a bit worried that the devs' vision might just about make the game unplayable, and thus kill it for myself as well, since it's meant to be an online game that heavily revolves around the community, and without that community it'd be pretty damn boring, as has been proven by the latest patches. But I guess I'm personally sticking to my denial of the immediate effects of their updates and have decided to wait it out and see how it all goes. The majority of gameplay elements are still the way they were before, so the lack of content can at most hurt the old players that already had everything before and now have nothing by comparison. But even then, the devs can't exactly add the amount of content we'd want each week, ultimately they've got a right to do other stuff as well, and will reap what they sow in terms of how many people will play the game based on how/what they update each week.

I capped on witch's hats and tried the same thing. Gluttoned on some silly food with max humors at 3-4, sadly the glutton bar for the elements went up to like 8/4 with no effect :P So I guess it was indeed fixed, if that was the "bug".

Kandarim wrote:Ah, but Claeyt has the best point yet: this just means more work, that we didn't have to do yesterday. Whether or not the humour lowering is permanent or not, it hurts a lot for new players who heal off these mushrooms. Autumnal and Coniferous are now pretty much impossible to heal from foraging (only having the blue shrooms and garlic for some healing without poisoning you)

In regards to your other points:
1) The follow bug was NOT fixed. If you are already following someone when they port home, you'll keep following them in the right direction. It's a bit harder to time, but still VERY possible.
2) Again, the wheelchair point
3) we have yet to see this
4) again, yet to see this. Where was this announced?
5) point: copper now has a mediocre use. Since alchemy itself is hardly worth it right now, there's no real use (what do you mean by buttons?) except a cheaper version of the cauldron, with the added pain of having to keep a fireplace lit next to your stove
6) no advance was made. Only a skill was added, giving us what we already had yesterday

I DO think the crafting buffs is a nice thing to have implemented, but the inaugurate update it came with could have been much less irritating.

Have you even tried playing with it yet. "Autumnal and coniferous are hard to heal in" What? Try eating in the badlands. Those are still the 2 easiest biomes. You still have the mushrooms to eat, you just get a little temporary debuff. Those are the 2 easiest biomes. The red mushrooms aren't gone just reduced in number until you get your FnW up.

1. The follow xploit is harder, much harder.
2. Do you guys want the game to grow or not. We're in Beta, which means they're going to be adding stuff. It's only 5% done according to Dallane. Go play Farmville if you want simple. This isn't a grind update, it adds to the Alchemy mechanics to the game.
3. It's in the original Post.
4. Again in the original Post.
5. The pot doesn't need the stove it goes on the fireplace.
6. Many advances in where Alchemy is heading where made, you just don't see it.
