You guys are all over-blowing this. The mushroom poisoning debuff is NOTHING. It's not permanent. It doesn't include Sugar Caps, Lavenders, or Lobsters. For Waxing Toadstools it's a .1 (That's POINT ONE) loss for 5 min which is nothing. For Waning and Witch's its more and longer but only like 20 min. You can still glutton with all the mushrooms as long as you're willing to take the hit for a bit. The cure potion is easy to make (6 berries and 2 oak leaves, come on). And for this simple little debuff Alchemy add on we get.............

1. A fix to the Follow xploitation.
2. A new Alchemy skill.
3. A new Real World money pack for Alchemy with possibly clothes and equipment.
4. A prettier and harder to get Alchemy table and equipment.
5. More uses for Copper (Buttons, Pots, and Alchemical equipment)
6. ...and an advance towards more alchemy.

How is this a bad Update. Tons of **** and a little complication to just gorging on mushrooms everywhere in the woods (Autumnal and Spruce biomes were overpowered anyways). It's not a noob killer by any means.

Is the poisoining effect permanent (as in you lose biles)?

@Kandarin: IMO it (atleast before the purity fix) it was too easy to do everything by yourself. They might want us to cooperate or trade more.

Out of curiosity, is anyone able to craft the Alembic after learning Alchemy? I can't atm, so I'm wondering wether it's bugged or wether it needs some more skills that i'm still lacking. Or .. the wildest theory yet, wether the copper pot now acts as a stabilizer for both shrooms and unstable items.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

I think this is great update. Farming should be wraped around tier products, not the boring purity grind.

Thats why "Cain and Able" should be available with "Childish things". Anyone can kill someone or steal from day one, but not all can make a bench.

It just means current cabbage cake strength will require red cabbage, and colewort cabbage will be a joke :P

Valid point, but surely It'd be more interesting fighting off a criminal with the new purity system (biles will be more balanced) than to get away from one with 500 phlegm and a 100 blood damage attack.

Cain & Abel doesn't garantuee a kill, can still get KO'ed.

Eventually we'll have a reset, but it'd rather not wait 3 months for this to happen...

You would still need a weapon though. :)
