Since I started playing I always wanted to share this game experience with other players, I mean build camps and cities together. That's where the fun should be. However, we can't trust others. I tried many times join a stranger's town in the forums, never succeed, too many time constraints, too many fears. My bros and friends don't like the game.
This game would be immensely more enjoyable if there was an incentive and safe means for players to start a camp together, a period of truce so players can't grief each other if they're building a camp together.
When you create a character you could have a window listing the beginner camps to optionally join if you don't want go hermit. Each camp would show the population, say, from 1 to 10 players max. Think of it as an early "party" for new characters to interact and create bonds. Players from the same camp can't commit crime to each other until the truce period is over.
When the truce period ended players could build a town if they like each other.
I know I'll be flamed for this suggestion because carebear and whatnot. I'll just say though, "consider the following": this game would still be hardcore, this would be just an early period for players to have a chance of easily creating a bond and not get into the hermit playing right away. I'd hate to see this game die, but the population is not increasing and I myself been having a hard time finding the motive to log in. I think this game needs easier players interactions right away.
TL,DR: when creating a character player could choose from a list of beginners camps where they could experience the game together without committing crimes to each other, for a period...
