See, that's the thing. I don't have the context for that video other than it is Japanese. Since I don't know more than a few words in the language, I can't really understand what humor is supposed to be there.

I have to say the same thing about many of the other foreign things I see. Sometimes a thing is universal, but often it requires knowledge that others likely won't posses. Anyone that knows much about Monty Python will know that the show was pretty much booed off the air in Germany (and this was before they got to the WWII references). Why? The comedy didn't translate.

On the other hand, all those shows listed above are based on pop culture in the US. I know what the jokes are doing. I find them hilarious.
