To build a sled or not to build a sled?

I have a quick question. Can sleds carry either boulders or containers? Not sure it's worth the trouble to build one if all I can carry on it is four more regular items.

You can carry trees and bulks of dirt too. It's like one of the most useful things in Salem.

I would vote for that if there was the random chance of the sled falling down the ladder on top of you and knocking you out Or, the rope breaks pulling the sled up the ladder and all the containers break open in the mine. Something like that.

Sleds can be an addiction, especially if you are a hoarder with a mine. Nothing as pleasing as seeing your mine filled with chest laden sleds.
