I would advise all new players to learn the ins and outs of tracking and how to use the mapping tool. If anyone ever raids or attacks you simply track the scents back to their base and map the hell out of it along with screenshots of defenses. Post it on forums along with coords for the win. Let someone else do the dirty work.
