Proficiencies: Very good for early/mid people. Thumbs up!
Wall change: This happens after I just demolished a 10 segment stone wall. *LE SIGH* I am concerned about increased raids though.
Alchemy tools: Sounds interesting. Not sure I have the ability to use them though.
Alchemy mishap on Roanoke: Like I said in the other thread, my farmer rejoices but my miner doesn't.

What else... hmmm.

Oh yes, Animal Husbandry. This sounds cool.
I'm almost contemplating joining an actual village now. There is no way in hell one person can do all of these things. ...or maybe I just need to be even more structured.
Reminder to self: Patience is a virtue.

Jorbtar be praised! Skill gain change rocks! I can't tell you how many times I was leveling NP and staring at that green S&C bar thinking "what a waste" :D

Oh, also, why add things that need a crap-ton of glass before you add glass making? i think we're seeing an economy sink :D

Thanks Jorb and Loftar for adding a lot more clarity in the patch notes, and for just letting the community know what your intentions are for the future, that'll at least make the general idea sink in before the patch hits and they can be shocked and confused  Right, a few questions now that I feel I need to ask since there's no way I'm buying glass panes just yet : Water, have we figured out the magical practice of pouring water into these test tubes? :P Because we seem to be too derp to put water inside the pressure cooker .. which is lovely. But seeing as water is a major component in a bit of the purity grind, is it going to be .. alchemifiable (lolnewword) or is it meant to just stay at node value and be a sort of regional cap for how pure you can get your other stuff?

Secondly, am I right in assuming that the second test tube, the one which reduces chymical instability and purity at the same time, works a bit like the pressure cooker? In that, the alembic's purity will affect how fast it reduces chymical instability, while the purity drop will always stay constant? As hard as it might be to get pure oiled boards, unless the instability drop is much faster than the purity drop, I feel as if the alembic wouldn't do much in conjuction with the cooker.

Thirdly, could we get a rough number of hours that these test tubes have to sit there before they do something? So we know when/if it bugs, and avoid an "earthworm hunger strike" situation again :D

I think that's as many questions as my brain can produce this morning, but I have one last thing to say .. about the profficiency levelling system. And quite honestly, I feel really hurt to get screwed over yet again by progress. I mean, as a child, I put in so much work into doing math at school on paper, and then someone gives me a calculator, and then I put in work into doing that, and later still I get a computer. It's like, way to invalidate all my previous hard work that I couldn't have gotten back anyway! And even on an evolutionary level we get screwed over like this, I mean think of all the poor hoomanz that used to carry animal carcases back to their base, and then POW, someone invents the wheel and cart. It's just rude imo, either make it so that everyone ever, including myself, has to work as hard as I ever worked on stuff, forever, or I'll just feel cheated out of all that fun, hard work levelling profficiencies and whatnot! ¦]

Alchemy table usage is safe or there are some random loss cases like with stove and cookers?

Walls were buffed up like that because of the size of players' humors. Now that the ceiling is significantly lower, there's no need to have walls as strong as they were. People still won't break out those super alts for basic raiding because there's no way to replace or rebuild them yet. Raiding should be hard if there's proper defenses, not impossible. If raiding becomes impossible, then you'll see the ultimate level of griefing show up in the game.

The primary form of defense was and should be braziers. Walls will never be a proper deterrent to raids, just a way to slow down the attackers. Even if we get something that can't be taken down by hand (ie brick walls in HnH), there'll be something else to tear them down.

Edit: now that we have MORE uses of glass, can we get some sort of glass industry set up now?

Yead, we'd require glass, lead (musket balls or just plain metal bars) and gun powder.

New player skills as well.

Good times are coming.

Only player humors haven't gone down. It's only that player humors are not going up (very much) anymore. All the high humor characters are still out there. And now they are doubly incentivized to rape their respective servers for whatever legacy materials they can find. I don't really care about that aspect of things, tbh, but understand the forces in the system of equations.

Walls were buffed because nobody was able to stop 15 russians or chief and his people under their walls, now Devs made step back :|

much appreciated with the proficiency change, it would definitely make things easier

about the downgrade wall thing, I reckon there is a need for that after seeing the consequences of a messed up floor plan!
Can't even make a scratch to the damn wall with my crappy hummor lvl...
but instead of doing it for the sake of "make raiding easier" I thought allowing only the owner have the privilege is enough!

but then....I guess I have a different perspective for the game than the developers......
after all, I'm just a hermit having fun with my own business
