This is some prime Tribe publicity! Just when we where getting the idea the Tribe did care about nooblets (as long as they pay).

I wonder whats going to happen if the Tribe is the lat one standing on Plymouth.

He will receive no reparations for damages and the Paymaster has already offered him a one week grace period to begin making his treaty payment.

1. I just heard of your group in Boston. The fact that You are quite aggressive and destroy all those caught you on the way.
2. I could get away from you once locked you in settlement. until you broke 3 the wall I could escape. But I stayed, and offer You cooperation.

Well then why did he put the 70s in the box? What did he get from the tribe for his last 70s except looted and killed. He seemed to understand that he was making a down payment on his first treaty payment and not getting killed because of it. You yourself said he had never read the forums, so how was he even supposed to know what Article III, V, and VII were, or how to contact PmP even if he had heard of the tribe. I think you killed him just because he spoke Russian. Sure you have the right to kill whoever you want and I'm sure you had the stats, but if you want to grow the treaty, next time take his money and let him have a chance to read the treaty before killing him for breaking it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I know, he is a Jew.

Ikpeip wrote:Good evening,

My responses, in the same order:
1. The player was KO'd prior to the transfer of funds
2. Some Braves will show leniency, some will not. The Prince of the Gingerbread Men is not known for his mercy. I'm not going to second-guess his assessment of the situation
3. I am not Santa Claus.

1. Khaz just stated above you that he put the silver in the box while trying to negotiate.
2. And right there is the problem. Some rules for the Braves might help new players out a little, otherwise you just seem like newb griefers.
3. I'm not looking for Santa Claus, I can respect the effort to build the treaty and maybe the stability it creates, but for new players in this situation it kills the game for them, and that lowers the population. If you guys are actually interested in building a government up there then not killing newbs who are actually willing to pay the treaty when they just find out about it, would be a good step.

Ikpeip wrote:The eradication of our enemies will, of course, result in a lower population on Plymouth.
While it is true we might get currency in the future from this fellow were he brought into the Treaty, this is not the only factor I am considering. The primary purpose of the Treaty is not to obtain and amass silver.

Then what is the primary purpose? I've heard it stated it's to bring law, order and stability to Plymouth. I've heard it's to put a set of guidelines down for all players to follow. I've even heard it's for newb protection. What is it? Because this guy was actually willing to join up and still got smooshed.

Ikpeip wrote:A razed base is not the same thing as an abandoned base. While I appreciate your input on the tone we need to set, you and I are working from different sets of knowledge on the makeup of our Treaty members. We are not at war with all Russians. We have Russians who pay the Treaty and have very beneficial relationships with the Tribe. But it is true that if you are Russian, you may need to work a bit harder to stay alive during initial contact. Speaking Russian to a stranger in Salem, especially after conversing with them in English, can rightfully be interpretted as an intimidation technique. We take a harder line with Russians because they have the potential to be more competent and less cowardly than your standard anti-Treaty forum warrior.

Faithfully,

-Paul the Paymaster

Well okay then. Fair warning to all Russian newbs reading this. The Treaty may not be for you. I can understand this position knowing how hard the Russians down here are looking for your Roanoke Alts. Again tho, the game's half non-english speakers and google translate works okay. Some protocol for your collector's, for all these international newbs might be nice.

As to the base. how the hell is he supposed to know if it's raised or abandoned. Eventually it all crumbles. Signs don't crumble, I think, and their easy to build. Or at least let the Newb living there have some knowledge about why the base was abandoned before you attack him.

My main point in this whole argument is to try and get you guys off of newb griefing, and killing, so that the game can build up it's player base. The larger the population of the game the better for all of us, the better for business, the better for Paradox who will then put more money and time into developing the game.....and maybe then we'll have horses in the next 2 years.

Expand on this, I'm not sure I understand this post.
