Aah, women, what do they know about the joy of grinding and farming. This isn't a game, it's Salem!!

I'd like to confirm that the last bugfix also corrected the nonfunctional skill caps. Several lime sources that I previously recognized at 4% have been readjusted to 0% consistent with my 2900 Mines and Mountains skill. Could someone with 5000+ or higher confirm upper limits?

Don't discount "women" in general as people who don't like grind. After all social games (ie farmville) are predominantly women and I would say farmville is definitely a grind based game.

Grinding is usually made as a means to an end. I grind out tomatoes so I can sell them and buy X. If you just talk about the grind mechanic, yeah it's boring. But what you should be describing is what the grinding earns you, and how much grinding is required to exist in said game.

Women as a group do tend to prefer more social based games, and games that give the ability to decorate. Talking about how being a good farmer makes you attractive to villages, how it could make you the money to spend on decorations and wallpapers for your property, are more attractive to female players as a group.

On the other hand, talking about how farming can give you an edge in combat, or economic power in the world are more likely to appeal to male gamers since we tend to be more competitive in nature.

That's not saying males must be competitive and females must be social, but that is the gender norms, and if I must say they're probably fairly biological in nature.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Your sense of humour is dying, man. What you say is profound but what I said was only a joke :). I never consider grinding something in game a joyous thing.

61 mines, found ONE piece of 6% lime... grrr... and found it today, after fixes

Oh oh and Severnless, how very dare you suggest that women like decorating!!
Although to be honest I seem to be very gender stereotypical, apart from the social thing, I dont care about your property, just stay out of mine and Jorbtar give me more pretty things... I do believe men and women are different, and thats a good thing, we are all on the same line, but men tend to be on one axis and women on another, as suits nature, we will look after things in the cave and pick berries while you lot go out and hunt, and steal good hunting grounds and organise raids and bring home our meat...and then sit there and grunt occasionally.... now get on with it...

After worm fix, it appeared to me that the underlying alchemy of lime pits had been remapped. (perhaps skill capped as well). But my favorite 4% mercury lime pit was now producing 1%salt. Several other lime pits i visited had lime boulders next to them of different alchemical composition then a new one dug up. (ie. chip off the boulder was 1% mercury, dug up new boulder chip was 2% lead).

I didn't sample as much fuana or remember the fuana values around my home as accurately but i believe they may have changed as well.

Mine Ore had the same alchemy previous.

Didn't check my favorite water spots

Speaking of wallpapers, which craftable one do you think suits the cliffside wallpaper? I use cliffside either sides of the oven and house door.

I think since a server reset, ALL water locations have changed/ rerandomized.

All our nodes have swapped from 8% merc to 1% lead, from 7% salt with 43.99 element, to 1% mercury and sulphur node dropped from 4% to 0%

WDF HAPPENED TO THE NODES ?
