It will soon be 12 hours since I placed some waxing toadstools in my wooden box. Placed in a pattern with every other worm and toadstool. We will see if 12 hours is the mark to go by.

Okay
I've taken a deep breath, repositioned my quality possibility bar, decided not to worry too much about Wormaggedon until its working, and I'm starting to like these changes.
Admittedly I did suffer from Havenfirstdaynewworldmylitis (symptoms: an overwhelming feeling of OMFG I must find good clay NOW or I might as well go play spider solitaire for six months) but with the levels of purity being so low its not quite the bigboysclaimeverything situation it was in Haven.
So yeah, thanks Jorbtar, I'm getting it now, and its good.
Is terminally confused and her head hurts

Well yeah, except for the fact that you can make better % clay than you can find, so its find good water instead of find good clay.I have been grinding my pots and pans in the hope that the clay near me would be reasonable %, hell, even 7% would've been nice but its still the same as when my p&p was half what it is now, 2%! I found 6% water and as the lime hardly has any effect on the purity of milk of lime, hand made is better than natural. If well water is going to be better then that makes natural clay even WORSE.

So for gardening, water purity is all that really matters, it provides the clay for the pot and the water for the trees for the compost bin for the humus.

I am curious about how the purity of a pot is calculated, I made one from 6% lead clay, 4% granite and 3% lime, and it came out 2%. the lime and granite were similar proportions (salt and merc were low and sulphur and lead high) the water was slightly saltier and sulphur was lower, but the pot is equally low in all but lead but only 2%. If anyone is interested I can post all values once I find another piece of lime where that one came from.

Makes no sense and is annoying as hell.

Hate to derail an Announcement thread, but now I want to do some science! I miss my chemistry set.

I still find this hard to believe since you're the only one who have reported worms eating. I'll start believing you once either myself or others are seeing any results. Sorry. I'm sceptical by nature.

Logged in twice so far today. Once aprox 14 hours after setting up the new baskets. Second time just a couple of minutes ago, 20 hours since filling. Both times they have not eaten again. Strange and annoying!

Only thing I can think of that I did differntly is that this times I checked the containers every 2 hours or so. Yesterday I didn't since I was assuming the worms to be broken and didn't care to much.
