Can I just ask some questions to see if I understand this and the patch before.

- in order to make good humus you need either good building material for the bin or worms; or both now ?
- in order to get good worms you need good food to feed them, which sort of needs good fields, gardens, etc, or does the usual 3-5% foraged crap do the trick ? ie. huge circular grind
- in order to get good build materials you need to farm trees, which is only possible after getting horticulture as well as grinding mines to get high quality nails, ie. endgame skills
- in order to get the really high percentage seeds you need to be a bit lucky and damn persistent, ie invest huge amount of time

Is it me or does that not only make it harder for the demi-gods to get ahead, but absolutely nukes the casual gamer...? I mean disregarding what's still to come for a moment, is this not already all a bit steep for someone who has a job, family and a life ? I don't want it to be easy either, but jeez, considering you can die at any point isn't this a bit cumbersome and long-winded. I just kind of feel that if someone invests huge effort and time in building up farming that he might have an advantage over someone that invested time in mining, say - and of course vice versa.

Now it just seems like you have to do everything in order to do the slightest bit of anything. I suppose that means being a hermit is no longer really doable then ?

We just lack quantum mechanics theory included. But dont mention it in any way! Let users build LHCs and find it out on their own. That will surely bring more people to Salem and make it so much more fun.

Why make it open, fun, interactive, bug free and addictive when we can lose ourselves in number tables?

My worms seem to be on a diet. Perhaps a hunger strike to protest against the bugged minimum unsigned int alchemy values. Who knows, but it's been a good 10:30 hours and they've not eaten anything. Surrounded by grass, devil's wort, pumpkin flesh, and oaksworth.

I have worms surrounded by...
garlic, seaweed, devils wort, oakworth, crowberry, sugarcap, waxing toadstool, lobster mushroom, lavender bluet, pumpkin flesh, leaf of colewort, head of colewort, ear of cereal, cereal seeds, huckleberries...
I'm not sure what other 'any plants' there are!
(edit, after checking wiki [see below] i have added milkweed, lillybulb, acorn, acorn leaves, grass, hay, a blackberry and one red rose. If it wants my sunflowers, sunny or beaming, it can sod off! )

http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Any_Plant

This would be the wiki's list for any plant. I personally offer 1 silver coin to whomever gets a worm to eat a 100% Beaming Proud Sunflower!! xD

Are we really supposed to place worms in a container and feed them before placing them in a compost bin to get better hummus? This sounds really stupid to me.

Me as well.

I enjoyed farming in this game. Now I could care less, it is un-fun and grindy.

I went from tending to 350 fields to 0.
