Nothing makes me smile bigger than watching the supposed "elite" of Haven become nothing more than a barrel-blocker in Salem.

Although the replies to the OP have been entertaining and informative (had to google poopsocking. lol! nevah!!!!) I'm looking for a different answer. Something like, " They start gluttony and eat everything they can for 30 minutes straight 4x a day." or "They only eat Farmer's Omelets and use their followers spoils to get the silver to buy the company bacon needed for it." Even saying that the gluttony values in the wiki are based on 0 purity and raising the purity by 1 adds 2 points or something to the gluttony values so at 100 purity the value is acually 200 more (or however much) than stated in the wiki would be helpful. I'll admit I am only a casual player and am not studying the game mechanics as though this were a Master's Class so those concrete answers may have been overlooked but, in my defense, the learning curve is steep and there's not a lot of time in my life to devote to becoming a god (I just want to get big enough to kill a bear). So I'll re-state the OP question as "What specifically do they do to raise a humour from 350 to 351 for example?" Do they start gluttony and eat 8 omelets hoping for all salt events to raise blood or what? (i am familiar with how the event chances work and do know about meal planning before gluttony so that's not the type of answer i'm looking for)

High purity foods. Specific combinations are guarded secrets you're not likely to receive as some are the result of exhaustive testing. The higher the purity and more direct the raise (If Element A ONLY gives to Blood of food X, for example) the better. Sevenless' guide has information on this.

If you're casual, you won't get to 350. You need high production or high supply to meet the demand, especially now with the purity nerf.

The answer to your question is high purity foods. Which foods they are, though, is a secret not worth telling and should be found and valued through trial and planning.

not hard to figure out cabbage leaves/crumbs/cakes, pumpkins/pies are the only foods you will ever make to get stronk

it comes down to how much time you can spend grinding and how many fields you can get going.

Not quite true. It's possible to trade for high purity foods to increase your humors without much farming. There are quite a few people who do this.

Of course, the famine this week changed that for now, but it'll be possible again in time, I'm sure.

If you're casual, I can't see how you can produce enough trade goods to obtain the foods necessary to level yourself to 350. Unless you're buying silver, it seems inherent in the concept of a casual player to have sub optimum time investments to promote any kind of production whether it's foraging or manufacturing iron. But then again, we may have a different idea of what constitutes "casual."

So, how did you rise from a lowly 5/5/5/5 to the dominating force in one of the servers? How did you rise to power so far above the rest? After the final wipe before release, what tips could I use to become a Randian Godman, rising above my peers?

By posting this, you are simply stroking their ego's, (Darwoth googles [site:forums.salemthegame.com Darwoth] each day to see what is being said about him) see:

Wonder what the difference is between winners & losers?
You: lose your job at the hardware store, lay in bed for a week crying, your girlfriend dumps your ass, you spend a month in bed crying... [loser]
Darwoth: Loses his job in the hardware store, gets a job sheep farming, wool market bottoms out, he trains to be a lawyer... [winner]

That's exactly the TYPE of answer I was looking for. Thank you for that. Unfortunately it was hard for me to hear as it means I will be unable to achieve the full experience of the game in it's current form. Not trying to be snarky but I work a hard job with long hours irl so i want my game to be more like a vaca and less like more work. Too bad 'cuz i was having fun 'til i wasn't anymore. Guess I'll QQ because it's just too much. I can't devote the time required for all that. *I'll just check back later and see how it's evolved after some updates or maybe wait 'til final and see how it turned out. Maybe my rl work will slow down by then. Y'all keep havin' fun.
