While this is true, and is a matter that Jorb and I will surely come to discuss, I'm sure you're not actually suggesting that the proper solution to this problem be that alchemy remain retarded forever?

No but 'baby' steps would be preferred.

Last week you introduce some well as update day.

This week you introduce multiple industries and grinds all needed to combine to farm. All current fields planted before patch are going to turn out garbage.

Now it's like.

Oh now you need to grind 4 different ore mines 60%+ to make nails that affect your humus from composts.

Oh now you need to grind 4 different tree types (from 0) to make boards to make humus from your composts.

Enjoy the 1% water from your nearby lake to make those potted trees.

Oh now you need to have an intricate compost bin system colour coded over your fields so you accidentally don't put the wrong crop (which is now taking a nosedive) while will greatly affect the seed quality which was already a ***** to begin with to grow beforehand.

Etc. etc.

This update is more game changing than all the previous updates combined since I started playing in November.

well said.

*Water was already a major piss off purity wise,

i dont see why farming was changed from how it was, it was a system that was working fine and everyone had grown accustomed to. newbs could catch up quickly if they stole/bought some decent seeds and it does not really matter if people have high humors when nothing is preventing others from having just as high humors since they can plant the same high end seeds.

awesome update! I been wanting this but ironically not exactly encouraging me to log back in until wipe/new server :)

I'm guessing new server isn't a good suggestion at this point as it looks like pop is already stretched too thin on 3.

The forage aspects of this one are cool tho. def adds to that part of the game. The biggest problem is that you're trying to fix a problem that has already happened, people have gorged up to monster status, and now it's harder for the rest of us to do the same, making the game easier for the people who have already had access to high purity food, and high quality farming for months now.

i guess that is their reward for advancing themselves instead of sitting around with a thumb up their ass for months waiting for someone else to do the work and give them seeds then aint it?

just harvested a field and the items came out ok, so maybe stuff already planted is safe. Just re-planting will be the issue <---

by ok i mean it did drop, % was around 25 so i didnt notice as much on higher % crops.. so planted items were not safe
