Just because you did not see the Chief does not mean he was not here.

I trade with treaty payers, answer their PMs and questions on a regular basis, and add them to my skype contacts to continue to do this whenever asked so saying that we shun treaty payers and treat them like crap is really stupid. The reason why no one likes you is again, because you're one of the most biased people out there. You can see which side you're choosing from space despite you claiming to be "neutral". You were kicked from chats and shunned from half of the Salem community because you dumb. You dumb as hell.

I like to think that he was spending the past couple of weeks creating the sled-o-pede.

I like the core idea of the treaty, but the actual implementation is way too troll and controlling for my taste. Add in the sheer amount of ignorance that exudes from most Tribe posts/posters (most, not all) and I think you will realize why something like the rebellion is needed and will always exist. If the Tribe simply allowed people to opt in and pay tribute when a given player could afford it, while focusing on tracking scents and keeping most "bad players/raiders" at bay things would be much different. Instead you are forced into paying for eternity, if you don't pay, you lose. You could be a hermit who never left a scent in his or her life and life and if you dont want to pay their fee your game is over. If the Tribe/Treaty was truly altruistic they would kill people who are criminals, ie leaving scents. They would accept payments from those who are willing and able, while leaving everybody else alone.

I will also be accepting payments for the further advancement of my small hermitage. I am neither Tribe nor Rebel, just someone playing Salem and enjoying the show that these two factions create.

Everybody is "Able" to help and pay for the freedoms they enjoy. The fact that greed overtakes so many to bask in the glory that is our justice and not pay for it just goes to show that most squatters don't deserve to walk in the lands of Salem.

Wrong, I value the development of my base more so then I do the development of yours. As such silver benefits me much more by investing in my own infrastructure. Example, I currently as a Hermit am having a hard enough time generating silver, starting out farming and trying to get my iron production up and running takes a lot of time and silver, while also trying to expand my claim for my defense. If I was paying you since I started I would even more broke and my base less developed. Yes you offer a service, but the big picture falls apart when someone opts not to pay, should they not just be left alone if they are not a raider? (Rhetorical question)

This post is also the other reason why the Tribe gets so much hate, wrong or right, like it or not, role playing to this extent is a bit...weird? I think it is why most other games separate role playing servers from non role playing servers.

Grinding the crickets to provide you safety would take 1-2 hours at most. Go ahead and provide me with a screenshot of your base and I can tell you what aspect of your base you "developed" that inevitably will cause the entire thing to be burned to the ground. There is no spot worth digging, and no wall worth building, if you are simply going to screw everybody else in Salem and not pay your fair share for the safety required in this harsh environment. Your base has not been raided by others because the Tribe has killed all raiders. Therefore, your safety is a direct result of our actions. If you fail to pay for the safety we have provided you... well... I think there are more than enough threads to show you what will happen.

One treaty thread is quite sufficient, and this isn't really going anywhere.
