When you place a sign to build something, you have to put the materials in it before you can do the build command. You can't just hold the materials in your inventory. You can shift-mousewheel to put items in the sign if you're using Enders. Don't know if that works for the vanilla client.

You need to make sure to point at the material list in the building window, too, so the client knows what you're trying to move.

If you don't know how it works on an unmodded client, you should find out before posting here. Most of the new players are using the original to start. That said, nearly all the UI commands are the same. I don't think Ender has added anything along those lines.

quick question. Do maps respawn like in HnH? If so, how long does it take? I'm standing in a field absolutely surrounded by snakes.

The map tiles unload after about 20 minutes of no one being there. So, if you log off for that long and back in again, all the animals and foragables should be different.

Quick question regarding brazier/personal claim mechanics. I came across a claim which I believe to be inactive, its still present, but I can walk over it without criminal acts on. I believe the claim is now capable of being destroyed, if I attempt to destroy it, even though the upkeep is not paid, will the braziers fire on me?

If the claim upkeep has ran dry, the braziers should remain inactive.

The purity of the product is the average of the items used. Make sure the items you use are all in the same element, too, else you'll just average it out back to normal. Seems there was a discussion around here about it a week or so ago.

So long so good ... but not answering the question on a basic enough level

How do you get Purity items (to make Purity items with) ... say ... via Farming
