only reason i responded at this time is because i did not want the games reputation to suffer as many indie games do when folks start throwing around accusations of bugs around during the course of their temper tantrums because they do not know how to play (i have yet to come across any here other than graphical ones)

give scents to all who want them, they can join the rest of the skeletons on the front lawn.

I applaud your attempts at trying to get the Devs to forgo looking into your bug abuses by saying how much you "Care for the game." and "Don't want people to be put off by accusations of bug abuse!".

It might be a valuable tactic if it wasn't so glaringly obvious. As for my mentioning my time playing Haven and Alpha testing Salem? That was to make you understand that I don't need help from a "Yassos guild" to get you. I know and am friends with several people who's towns dwarf mine and who will be glad to help. Your assertions that you don't care have no impact on what's ultimately going to happen. I care about as much as you do about the outcome it being a video game and all but rest assured that in Salem? As WELL as in Haven World 7 onwards, when I find out your true identity, I will make it a personal hobby of mine to make sure that your game play in these games is as fun as mine has been for the last two days. I just believe in keeping a balance like that. Oh, I lied, I DO know who yasso is....

Seems like you find it an easier pill to swallow that someone bested you illegitimately rather than just learning a hard lesson and moving on. What makes Salem such a good game is that making mistakes has real consequences. Throwing around baseless accusations of exploitations is terrible for a new game.

Appreciate it. Everyone is fine and even the ones who lost characters, (Myself included) just look at it as a bit of excitement. I'm kind of tweaked that our organic town growth idea has to stop now to go into fortress mode but whatcha gonna do, the lowest common denominator will always fill the depths of open pvp games.

I've beta tested tons of games. That has nothing to do with this. Your accusations are baseless because you've provided no base. You've convinced yourself that the only way someone could best you so decidedly is if they cheated. Hopefully after the soreness has worn off you'll just treat this as a lesson learned and change your tactics to adapt, IE, actually vet someone before trusting who they are.

I've beta tested tons of games. That has nothing to do with this. Your accusations are baseless because you've provided no base. You've convinced yourself that the only way someone could best you so decidedly is if they cheated. Hopefully after the soreness has worn off you'll just treat this as a lesson learned and change your tactics to adapt, IE, actually vet someone before trusting who they are.

Round and round we go. No one "bested" ME unless summoning with scents is being bested? I knew when I left the scents that was a possibility. Big woop.

My "accusations" are about the amount of 'loot" this person somehow moved in a very short time from my town to his...claim. By his own admission there were 10 chests of food (The chests themselves are gone.) and 250 POUNDS of flour and this is just from my townie Eulogi's plot (If anyone was bested, it was him.) AFTER all of this was moved from his plot, magically with town people on the whole time, this "same" raider went on to raid/rob all 9 OTHER plots in our town over the span of about 3 hours and somehow hauled away about 12-15 TIMES that first plots amount of stuff. Now, if this stuff was all found to be at a nearby claim, or just chilling in the woods, it would be no harm/no foul. BUT all scents produced from these thefts lead back to....you guess it, the claim of this asshat that is 2 hours + walk away from our town on the other side of that honking big mountain at world center..ish.

All this aside, I somehow doubt that with your 2 posts, both in this thread that you are just some random forum lurker who found himself galled at my calling this guy out for his obvious bug abuse. I think it's safe to say that you are either a buddy of his IF NOT the exact same person doing their best to defend someone who's very much in the wrong. We may never know as the good Mods from haven aren;t here to check IP's to see if you just made an alt to support yourself.

Right.. If any mod has the ability to check IP's, by all means please do it. I've been reading about Salem(And H&H) for some time but only recently started playing. Reading this thread has actually made me very excited about the future of the game. What would the game be like if there were no opposition? I bet you've probably been playing harder than ever these past few days just to seek your revenge.

are you truly this dense? have you STILL not figured out that when your guildmate builds a lean to in the middle of his claim you can use it to teleport to boston? and that wow a character with a backpack has one slot shy of a full chests capacity?

the chests are gone because they cost 4 nails each and i destroyed them, not because i magically teleported to parts unknwon while carrying them on my head which is what you apparently think.

i did not say i didn't have time to go back and forth with you, said i did not have time to do the story justice. in the near future this escapade combined with that of yassos guild will be added to our websites episode section, that is what i dont have time for atm and that is why i havent delved into much detail as of yet so as not to spoil it.
