Error when launching the game

i downloaded the client and after i launch the Salem shortcut on the desktop it asks me the security thing , i press on Run and then it shows an error ( Haven error!) and the game doesn't launch

My only suggestion at this point is to check your graphics drivers and make sure they're properly updated. It's not a familiar error, so I'll dig a bit and see if anything different comes up.

well as far as i know they are latest ones.. at least for windows xp.

I did some digging over the day, and I found two other things mentioned.

First, make sure your desktop is set to 32 bit color. Check desktop properties under the settings tab.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, make sure you motherboard drivers are updated properly. If you have a custom built computer, check the board manufacturer's site. If it's a prebuilt (Dell, Compaq, etc), check with the manufacturer or run their updating utility.

neither one worked... all drivers seem to be up to date and i have set it to 32 bit color. my guess is that my video card doesn't support open gl with this old of a driver and there is no newer driver for xp only for vista and win 7
