Were you by any chance doing a lot of digging? Memory usage seems to rise by about 20MB per dirt dug.

I was watching java.exe increase it's memory usage from 400k to 1495k, then it crashes. This is happening for me since yesterday, don't know why. And no, I am not digging..

Also this:

OS: 'Windows 7', arch: 'x86'

It used to be OS: 'Windows 7', arch: 'amd64'
Or something like that

Edit: Fixed.
Unistalled Java 32 bits. Still don't know why it was running on 32 bits though

How exactly did you get it to quit the memory soak? When I finally managed to get Ender's client on Java 64, the problem got worse for me. I don't drop from the game much but it goes way over one mil on the memory issue. There is a tonne of packet loss or some other problem going on and it needs to be fixed. If it is, people on lower end machines won't have such a hard time staying logged in I imagine.

I uninstalled 6 and simply added Ender's client to the exceptions in the Java7 Security tab. It runs just still has a HORRIBLE memory issue that needs attention asap. My client doesn't crash as my computer can handle a lot of bashing but for people who have weaker processing and lower memory, this is pretty bad. I mean, even EVE online doesn't go that high. I can post images that show the memory leak with a clock to show how long the climb took if anyone is interested, just say the word and I'll post them.

I had a Haven error message this morning that gave a possible solution. It said to do something with tripple buffering. Anyone out there who can guide me on this?

It needs to be OFF. That I'm aware, only ATI cards have had an issue with this as it gets turned on in the driver tools. Open the driver settings, and in the 3D settings there will be an option for OpenGL with only one checkbox. Make sure it is unchecked.

Couple of requests for this awesome client:

-in-game radar options (can for example hide everything from radar except a few checked items, and then select all again later or select other items as you need)
-have the switch character button outisde of the option menu, easily accessible
-player proximity alert - on enabling the feature when you are expecting to be along - sound an audible alarm when another player appears on your radar
-freestyle camera smoothed option. currently the freestyle camera is jumpy when changing directions just like the regular isometric camera. make a smoothed option like the isometric smoothed.

I do this manually, it's more intuitive when the camera matches the minimap... could be evolved into an option that automatically does this when you log in

How hard would this be to implement? If it would be relatively easy, it would completely change my life for the better if you would consider doing it, Ender.
