I'm not as hard edged and vicious as you SB. Plus I don't have huge humours, enough to take out the guy, and some walls. but it would take me awhile. I'm no killer, just a mapper. I like to think that even the worst raider was a farmer at some point. I could summon the thief and kill him, I have all the skills, but I'd probably leave a scent and I don't need the hassle. I still think this was one person in the town, not the town as a whole. He was a very newb raider, taking fish and boards individually out of boxes. tons of evidence. he probably thought my friends newb camp would never try and find him and track him to his town. The town's def not a vault by any means. At least from what I saw.

When I googled 'The order of the Crimson Rose' I get an East coast Frat, a pagan adoption agency, and an Everquest guild, I'm guessing it's the guild. After checking out the member list of the guild, I actually recognize some names from Salem. The mystery continues.
