You saw the pics. I had split rail fence only and I was located in a well traveled with rivers everywhere. I was easy pickings. For me, hoarding was indeed a losing strategy. No, another alternative would be none of the above. As to Coles Comment, I'm hoping, as always, that sarcasm on the forums is hard to translate.

To Champie, it's best to just ignore the screaming insane people as you walk past them on the street. Take that principle to heart on the internet also. You woudn't talk to the drunk rambling guy screaming nonsense on the corner, so there's no need to talk to them here either. LOL

As to your base getting hit. Take some props, kudos and pras from me then. You're right; you were unprotected, hoarding, and a prime target, but at least you're not rage quitting. Always remember the most valuable thing you have in the game is your character. Everything else can be rebuilt or bought pretty quick with a high enough level character.
