I have had characters on foreign servers on a couple of games in the past. When you can't use the native language other than through a translator, you tend not to say much of anything as it's a huge PITA to do it in real time chat.

It may be a pain, but if someone is trying for a HALF HOUR to communicate with you, what's so hard about firing up Google Translate for a short conversation?
